Andre Jahnoi

Andre Jahnoi is a Liverpool-born Hip-Hop artiste whose sound and philosophy are heavily influenced by his Afro-Jamaican heritage. He describes his music as decolonial, using lyricism as a means of challenging the Babylonian systems that bound the ways we imagine the world and our place in it.

Roukaya B​

Manchester born Roukaya B is a 21 year old Soul singer- songwriter curating and sculpting her unique sound from influences across her multi-ethnic background.

Her music is influenced by R&B, Soul, Jazz, Rai, Reggae, Rap and Garage; her voice can be described as versatile, soulful, warm and powerful with smokey and sultry lower notes

B2Denji

Ghana born “TheBenjiEffect!” procured his influence from the traditional music of his home country which sparked his passion for the art of music and performance. For the last 10 years he has written and produced his own music and showcased his works through various performances and videos. He is acknowledged by some of the most influential UK artists like the iconic talents of Jhus, Young Tobz, Mr Eazi and more.

Ollie Ade

A child of Nigerian and Moroccan immigrants and also shamelessly queer, neurodivergent, polyamorous and ex-Muslim, Ollie Ade feels that representation is vital - so she forced herself to show other people their work rather than just let it collect dust in her journals. Her writing includes prose, poetry and some attempts at playwriting and screenwriting. Ollie enjoys delving into her own psychology as well as the psychology of the world around them, using their work to process their identity and perspective. This year, as one of the Queer InSight artists, they have adapted a poem into a short film piece in collaboration with First Take and Queer Bodies which was screened in February.

Caesar The Poet

Caesar is a 23 year-old Poet and Software Developer from Manchester and makes up 1/3 of the esteemed Poetry Place. Despite only being on the scene in Manchester for a year, he is known for his thought-provoking storytelling, often delving into topics such as Mental Health, Faith and Social Issues. With a unique ability to educate and inspire through his words, he’s a rising star in both the Poetry and Tech communities.

Ronke Jane

Ronke Jane is an award-winning poet and spoken word artist. Her work explores themes of race, identity, and empowerment. She has been commissioned to write for organisations including Factory International, Black Ballad and Huffington Post, and her performances have been featured on BBC Radio Manchester.
